Let us pray
Saint Raphael the Archangel, one of the seven who stand before the throne of God, you walked for weeks beside a young man who did not know who you were, and you brought him safely home. Walk beside me today, even if I do not recognize you until later.
You are the angel of healing. Bring the medicine of God to (name), who is sick in body: as you restored sight to old Tobit, restore health, ease pain, and give rest. Bring healing also to wounds that no doctor can see: grief that has not lifted, anxiety that will not quiet, memories that still bleed. Lay your hand on them.
You are the angel of travelers. Guide those on the road today, especially (name). Keep them from danger, from wrong turns, from the harm of others, and bring them home with good news to tell.
You are the angel of happy meetings. You led Tobias to Sarah and drove away the evil that had destroyed her hope. Lead those who are seeking a husband or wife to the person God has prepared for them, and give them the patience to wait and the wisdom to recognize. Protect marriages that are struggling, and drive away what divides them.
You told Tobit and his son that it is good to pray, to fast, and to give alms with righteousness. Teach me those three things.
