Let us pray
Saint Joseph, guardian of the Holy Family, I come to you with the things a father is trusted with: work, home, and the protection of those I love.
You worked with your hands in a small town and no one wrote down a single word you said. Yet God chose you to provide for His Son. Pray for me in my work. Give me your diligence, your honesty, and your freedom from the need to be noticed. When my work feels pointless, remind me that yours looked ordinary too.
You protected Mary and Jesus through danger, taking them to Egypt in the night. Protect my family now. Stand at the door of our home. Keep us safe from harm, from division, and from everything that would pull us away from God.
You trusted God when nothing made sense, when the woman you loved was with child and an angel asked you to believe the unbelievable. Pray for me when God's plan confuses me. Give me your obedience, which did not require understanding first.
You are the patron of a holy death, because you died with Jesus and Mary beside you. Pray for me at my own death, and for everyone I love who is dying now. Let them not be alone.
Saint Joseph, just man, silent worker, faithful husband, pray for us. Amen.
