Short Powerful Morning Prayer for a Busy Day
When you have one minute, give God that minute with your whole heart

Some mornings leave no room for a long devotion. This short, strong prayer is made for those days. Say it standing, say it in the car, say it with your eyes open.
Let us pray
Lord Jesus, I belong to You. This day belongs to You. Take my hands, my mind, and my heart, and use them for Your glory.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Give me courage where I am afraid, wisdom where I am confused, and patience where I am tested. Let no fear rule me today, because You are with me.
Guard my tongue so that I speak truth with kindness. Guard my eyes so that I see people the way You see them. Guard my heart so that I want what You want.
I place my family under Your protection. I place my work in Your hands. I place every worry I am carrying at the foot of Your cross, and I leave it there.
When the day grows loud, bring me back to this moment of quiet. When I fail, lift me up quickly. When I succeed, remind me that every good thing comes from You.
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I trust You with everything that will happen between now and tonight. Lead me, and I will follow. Amen.
Blessing
May the strength of the Lord carry you through every hour of this day.

Frequently asked questions
Can a one-minute prayer really make a difference?
Yes. God measures prayer by love, not by length. A brief prayer said with full attention can shape the direction of an entire day and is a habit you will actually keep.
How can I remember to pray on hectic mornings?
Tie the prayer to something you already do: turning on the shower, starting the car, or pouring coffee. The routine action becomes a bell that calls you to prayer.
